Karam brand rotary tables can be used in floor type boring/milling machines as well as in machining centres as attachments. These are available in different sizes ranging from 800 x 800 mm to 2500 x 2500 mm. Precise indexing of the rotary table at perfect 90° or at any intermediate angle in 360° can be facilitated with angular digital read-out system having magnetic scale. For sliding movement of the rotary worktable another linear DRO system is provided and this movement is controlled with limit switches for safety purpose. The box type construction is very rigid to carry heavy job load and withstand heavy cutting force. 2.5 mm thick Turcite-B linings are affixed on the guideways of cross slide to ensure long lasting accuracy and smooth movement, which also reduces wear and tear to a considerable extent. A variable frequency drive (AC drive) is used with the gearbox for the centralised control of rotary as well as sliding movement of the work table. These infinitely variable speeds have been further controlled by a potentiometer duly fitting the same on pendant board of the rotary table, which also eliminates shifting of levers again and again.
