V K Industries offers a roll compactor, universally known as granulator. This is basically used in powder industry where the bulk density of the basic product has to be raised either for granulation purpose as in the pharmaceutical or for the purpose of reducing dusting (as in the hazards chemical area of applications) or then for reducing the volume for facilitation of handling transportation or further processing. All in all roll compactors is a very versatile machine finding extensive use in pharmaceutical dyes and intermediates, chemicals, fertilizers, steel, coal and many other industries. General principle of compacting powdery materials between two counter-rotating rollers under light or large pressure accompanied by cooling or some time heating up to high temperature binds the material in to flakes, slugs, briquettesor sheets as per the geometry of the rolls. The material passed through compactors can be either granulated there after the using flake breakers, slug breakers, etc. Or take as it is for further process.
