Modern Automation & Robotic Systems (MARS) has designed and developed a fully automatic special purpose machine (SPM) for Ring Making and Butt Welding, for wire products industries. The machine can make rings from 80 mm OD to 1000 mm OD. The wire diameter can be from 1 mm to 5 mm. The size of the ring to be made can be fed to the machine by a HMI (human machine interface). The PLC controlled system controls and make the ring as per the requirement. The welding system of controlled internally by the system. There is no flash during the butt-welding process. The output of the machine is 20 rings per minute. The integrated wire straightener can handle any form of wire and spool. The machine is supplied with a de-coiler for handling bulk wires. The system works on electro-pneumatic systems without any interruption. The company can design SPMs for any complicated wire forms to be made in high volumes. The machines are made user friendly and are cheap with high quality for longer machine life.
