The selection of diamond wheels depends on the following parameters, shape & size, bond, grit, concentration and depth of impregnation. Diamond wheels chosen should be of maximum diameter, strong and sturdy for better strength. For machine grinding, rim width should be smaller than the depth of diamond impregnation. For grinding larger surfaces narrow rims and deep diamond impregnations are suitable. The choice of bond depends on the use. Spectra Diamond Tools offers both Resinoid and Metal Bonds. Resinoid bonds are more suited to fine grinding, smooth and very rapid cutting action in both dry and wet grinding conditions. Metal Bonds are also used for both dry and wet grinding.
