Annair Controls offers a range of highly efficient Refrigerated Air Dryers, which are used for drying plant air and several other utility gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen and others. Manufactured using coiled tube-in-tube technology, these refrigerated air dryers are equipped with premium grade refrigeration components and energy efficient scroll compressors. Available in a range from 10 cfm to 10000 cfm, the air dryers are skid mounted and consist of Freon chiller, air to air pre-cooler as well as a moisture separator.
Working principle:
Firstly, the air is pre-cooled using outgoing chilled air at 25°C, and to reduce the refrigeration load of the unit, the air is further cooled in a frozen chiller up to -2°C temperature. The outgoing dry air has -2°C pressure dew point, which comes out at 25°C temperature (approx). This -2°C dew point in refrigerated air dryers is equivalent to -23°C atmospheric pressure dew point. A lower dew point is not feasible from refrigerated dryer, as the condensed moisture will start freezing on Freon tubes, if lower dew points are tried. The temperature of -23°C is the optimum dew point, which is achievable from refrigerated air dryers.
