SBS Precision Systems (India) offers a Portable Grinding Wheel Balancer, a cost effective solution to balancing a grinding wheel on the machine. This is a new version of the well proven SB-4500 automatic grinding wheel balancer. The semi-automatic system comprises of the 2-channel SB-4475M controller with standard vibration sensor and a proximity or photoelectric speed sensor. The controller tells the operator the exact angular position for the 2 or 3 weights on the flange of the grinding wheel. Balancing to less than 1 micron is normally achieved in 3 spins of the grinding wheel. The controller can be left on the machine to constantly monitor imbalance or moved from grinder to grinder.
