Komal Agencies, a Mumbai-based company, offers a range of plating/coating thickness testing systems. Model PTT-FD works on electromagnetic principle, using a non destructive method. The range covered is 0 to 100 and 1000 microns, with an accuracy of ± 5% and readability 0.1 microns. The minimum measuring area is 4 mm flat surface. Application is for non-magnetic coating on magnetic base: paint, Teflon, insulating coating, powder coating, zinc, cadmium and tin, on steel and non-magnetic foil thickness. The system works on 230/110 V, 50/60 Hz AC single phase, dimensions are 21 x 28 x 9.5 cm, and weight 2.4 kg.
