Non-Reversible Tapping Chucks
IMI QCSL tapping chucks have been specially developed for builders of heavy machinery, turbines, motors and nuclear reactors and other such type of heavy equipments. The capacities of these tap chucks range from M 30 to M 200. They are available in Morse taper, ISO taper and in special shank. These chucks are suitable for heavy jobs and jobs of rotation. For tapping of higher diameters, this attachment is most suitable. Chucks are provided with length compensation features which allows the tap to act as its own lead screw which eliminates all axial forces on the tap while guaranteeing maximum thread quality and long tap life. Also provided is a safety clutch which protects the tap from breakages. For inserting the tap adaptors, a quick change device is provided in the chucks. (Stall 9, Hall 7 FGH, IMTEX-98.)
