Aim Products Inc, USA, offers No Clean Solder Pastes for SMT applications. Formula 291 AX is a mildly activated resin paste specifically formulated to be left on the board without cleaning. The residues have undergone testing to ensure high insulating resistance. Residues are clear and dry tack-hard. Aim solder paste is a homogeneous mixture of pre-alloyed powder, liquid flux and gelling agent. Each formulation of paste is designed for specific type of manufacturing operation. In the most common manufacturing operations such as infrared reflow, vapour phase reflow, screening or dispensing, Aim uses its own equipment to preset recommended process controls good. Aim solder paste undergoes the most stringent quality control and end product testing in the industry to ensure reliability, and meets Federal Specification QQS 571. Formula 291 AX exhibits exceptional life studies-no corrosion, insulation resistance, and no metallic migration, in the event, the product has to be cleaned, there are options available such as solvent cleaning or aqueous cleaning. Formula 291 AX passes IPC SF 818 Class 3, Bellcore TRTSY000078 and BOC TR TSY-4078. This paste does not need a nitrogen or special gas atmosphere. Different particle sizes and viscosity ranges are offered for ultrafine pitch printing (10 mil and less) to general printing (25 mil pitch). The formulations are available for stenciling, screen printing, dispensing, pin transfer and dip applications.
