Testex offers NDT Inspection System, Hawkeye 2000. It is based on balanced field eddy current used to detect surface and sub-surface cracks. This can be used for pressure vessel welding, tube to header weld, dissimilar metal weld inspections, etc. It can also be used anywhere there is a cracking issue. This can detect cracks within 1/8" to the surface. This system requires minimal surface preparation and is a dry method. Advantages: inspects welds and bends; test ferrous and non-ferrous materials; minimal surface preparation; detect surface and sub-surface cracks; low signal to noise ratio; small modular PC based design; Windows based software; and 110/220 V operation.
