These boxes are designed for head changer machines tooled up for cylinder block components like drilling, probing, tapping, hole milling, boring and milling multi spindle heads for cylinder block. Special features: boring spindles and drilling spindles in one multi spindle box; centre distance between boring spindles can be fine tuned for high positional accuracy; probing of drilled holes for broken tool detection; box size 300 x 300 mm to 800 x 1200 mm; highly rigid milling spindles of dia 200 suitable for dia 400 milling cutter; spindle taper BT60/ISO60, BT50/BT40 for milling MS heads; number of spindles 4 to 40 for drilling and tapping; drilling and hole milling spindles are stub type with quick change tool holders with minimum overhangs of the tools (his avoids jig plate); spindle sizes selected for high rigidity; cartridge design for boring heads; gears are hardened and ground for bore, face and profile; and P4 accuracy precision bearings for boring spindles.
