Multilayer Piezo Actuator

The Multi-Layer Piezo Actuator is a co-fired multi-layer ceramic actuator typically available with a height up to 2−3 mm and with up to 100 ceramic layers. The purpose of the stacking is to obtain more displacement, than can be achieved by a single actuator. This actuator can be made very small, for e.g., 10-20-0.2 mm. Ceramic multi-layer actuator can be designed in a variety of geometries, such as squares, rings and discs.
