Igus (India) offers multi-dimensional movable E-Chain, Triflex R. Features: able to move multi-dimensionally – high degree of flexibility, even on the 6th axis; twist up to approx ±10° per metre possible in longitudinal axis, which assists guiding the cables and lines around difficult geometries; high tensile strength thanks to special "trailer principle" (= ball-and-socket principle), permits flexible movement along all axes at tested tensile forces of up to 2340 N (TRC 100.145.0); simple opening design – for easy injection and exchange of cables or media tubes (TRE and TRL variants); impact-resistant, dirt-repelling, rugged and abrasion-resistant, smooth, rounded exterior; glides over interfering edges and protects cables by means of smooth internal and external contours – tested over 1 million cycles at the igus laboratory; small bending radii and short pitch – space-saving installation; easy assembly and dismantling afforded by a single, die-cast component – no support elements (steel cables, spring suspensions, etc), are necessary along the tensile force vectors; high stability – due to exterior stop dogs; self-supporting operation – fibre rods can be fitted into scheduled guide openings; easy attachment onto the robot/machine reduces setup time; FlexBar fibre rod for universal mounting on the most varied and most difficult courses of movement – avoids coiling at the robot head; defined stops for radius and torsion; and Triflex R light – doubly good for purchase and assembly.
