The dirty gas enters the separator tangentially through a port which imparts high centrifugal force. This throws the solid and liquid particles against the wall of the cyclone. The clean gas changes direction and flows upwards and particulates and water fall downwards, thus getting separated from the gas. The capacity per cyclone is 40 m3/hr or 80 m3/hr. Efficiency: 100% (at 8 µ). Turn down: 25%
