Increasing competitive pressure requires manufacturers of packaging solutions to follow new paths. In-Mould-Labelling (IML) technology represents a promising possibility to design attractive packages and thereby to increase their value. Wittmann offers a new IML system and mould that offers high flexibility even for small production batches. Model W827 FLEX enables the placement of labels on the moving as well as fixed platen side, thereby flat labels, 3- or 5-sided or wrap-around labels can be inserted alternatively. The system is equipped with “Lock-and-Fix†mechanism to allow quick change of end-of-arm tooling and label magazine.
