Polybeek India Private Limited, an EOU unit set up in 2002, started as an Indo-German Joint Venture Company, with the foreign partners providing the technology and machinery, is today a 100% Indian entity. The company manufacturers high quality lined Modular Steel Water Tanks under the brand “Joemillars” for use in industry, projects, infrastructure and housing. Uses range from storage of raw water to treated water in ETP, STP, WTPs and also storage of acids, alkalies and chemicals purposes using the latest available membrane technology. The tank sizes range from 50,000 ltr to 2,500,000 ltr. All the components are fabricated in-house, providing complete control quality of each tank manufactured and installed. The main tank body is made from Zincalume metal sheets, lasting up to 4 times longer than galvanized steel due to its superior corrosion resistant property. The coating contains both zinc and aluminium providing sacrificial and barrier protection to steel. Zincalume steel has a coating of 55% of Zinc (Zn), 42.5% Aluminium (Al) and 2.5% Silicon (Si), where Si is metal bonding agent. Storage tanks for potable water are installed with a reinforced multi-layer food grade PVC liner, i.e., the same quality that goes in a blood bag or a urine bag, used in hospitals. Wall panels are pre-curved to create the exact diameter for each tank size. Hoop strength is achieved by increasing the panel thickness, which is determined by the height to the diameter ratio. The wall panels are vertically joined using hot dipped galvanised high tensile bolts. An external bolt cover strip prevents unwanted tampering with the bolt connections. The tank designs can be modified to suit high wind load conditions including cyclonic wind conditions, in coastal areas. They can also be modified to meet Seismic Zone requirements. These are all governed by AWWA (American Water Works Association) D-103 Standard. Should either of these apply in a tank location it can be incorporated at the design stage.
