These mountings are known as bobbin mounts as well as circular mounts, especially been designed as a simple low cost unit with load rating of as low as 500 grams. They have external threads on both sides & can be used in compression, shear or in combination of compression & shear. Mountings are made with natural rubber for indoor applications but for outdoor or environmental resistance, mountings are with neoprene. Mountings can be successfully used for passive protection of instruments, relays, control panels & lightweight delicate machinery etc. from transient shocks due to sudden stoppage or from external vibrations. Several standard sizes are available.
