Miniature Proximity Switch, models M8 and M12, are available in length of 40 mm and are suitable for use in areas where space is a constraint. A special button type switch having size 10 mm diameter and thickness of 10 mm is available. Slot type switches having slot width of 3.5 mm are the recent developments. The fibre tip of M3 size switch can be inserted in a machine part and its amplifier can be located at a distance.
