Kiran Electronics offer Micron Gauges. It is available in models F and NF. It is a portable electronic measuring tool non-destructively measures the thickness of coating on metals, quickly and accurately. It uses the electromagnetic principle to measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic bases. e.g.: zinc, tin, copper, chromium, cadmium, electro less nickel, powder coating, paint, Teflon, insulating coating, etc., on steel base. It also uses the eddy current principle to measure the thickness of non-conductive coating on conductive base e.g.: anodising, powder-coating, paint, Teflon, etc on aluminium, copper, brass and SS base. It combines the full capabilities of both the F and NF models. Specifications: range - 0 to 1000 microns; resolution - 1 micron; accuracy - ±2% of reading up to 100 microns and ±5% of reading above 100 microns; supply - 9 V battery with AC adapter; weight: 300 grams; size - 157 x 84 x 30 mm
