SATTAIRES – Saturated Air Engineering Solutions for Industrial Hygiene and Safety – a company engaged in manufacturing of pollution control equipment, offers a Metallic Air-Washer (MAW). This consists of pre-fabricated steel structure in sturdy construction complete with water sump, drain, overflow and make-up connections, air intake louvers, spray piping, nozzles and eliminators. Suitable access to the eliminators is provided at the intake louvers. The complete unit is given anti corrosive treatment for longer life. The MAW can be used with tube axial flow fan as well as with centrifugal fans. The basic advantage of this unit is that, no major civil work is required for the plant room. The saturation efficiency achieved is as high as 90% and above. The pre-fab unit is only mounted on a concrete foundation, adjoining the department. This unit can be shifted to other locations, as per the requirements of the user. The MAW is available in various capacities, viz., 15,000, 20,000, 30,000, 40,000 and 50,000 cu.ft/min. As per the requirement of the department, these units can be selected and can be installed in groups. The maximum space required for the air washer is 4000 x 3300 mm width. Each unit comprises of filters, air intake louvers, spray piping, nozzles and eliminators. Optional attachment of automatic rotary water filter can be provided as an extension to the sump. The monobloc pump set shall be mounted on the base frame of the built up air washer near the air intake louvers. The exhaust system consisting of the return air filters, return air fan and dampers shall be housed in masonry work/wall mounted type fans depending upon the convenience and provision available, in case of complete system. The MAW is a better option to semi-central type of units, which are suspended within the department. It is suitable for mixing/blow room/carding/comber/winding/packing/malls and shopping/star hotels/call centres/garment units/engineering units/industrial units, etc.
