Apex Shears is a global specialist in the manufacture of a wide range of Metal Working Tooling. The range includes: sheet metal slitting cutters, separators, discs, tube forming rolls, hot cutting and cold cutting circular saw blades, COC cutters and tools for the steel plants, cold rolling mills, tube mills and sheet metal processors. The company produces knives, alpha shears and friction/flying saws, forming rolls, etc., for any application in pipe and tube making lines as well as upstream and downstream operations. Apex tube forming rolls are supplied for both seamless and welded tube mills. These rolls are supplied with accurate profiles for trouble free performance. The company manufactures to original machine design, user modified design as well as in special circumstances – an improved performance design. It also manufactures cutters for slitting HR and CR strips of MS, SS, and brass, copper or any other ferrous/non ferrous metal. Slitting cutters made from AISI D2, D3, hot die or shock resistant steel up to 700 mm OD and other dimension as per customer drawings. The cutters can be supplied in precision and extra precision grades depending on their application. Features: thickness tolerances made up to 0.002 mm, extra precision parallelism and flatness; knife face ground finish up to 0.2 Ra; suitable for slitting non ferrous metals like aluminium and brass as well as ferrous metal materials like mild steel CRGO, CRNGO and stainless steels; and range from 0.1 mm to 16 mm thick strip as well as foil slitting cutters for foil thickness <0.1 mm. The company also supplies solid tungsten carbide slitters for foil.
