The medium wire drawing machine, Model NKMT-MWD, comes with 13 die set, wet slip type. The range is in let - 3.2 mm/4 mm and outlet - 0.4 mm. This machine is of high speeds and can draw copper/aluminium wires in 13 stages or less in conductor manufacturing and winding wire industries. The machine usually consists of 3 units: 1) Pay-off - single ended type with leather belt brake arrangement and trolley for loading and unloading the bobbin 750 mm flange dia; 2) Main machine - this wet type drawing machine can draw fine copper/aluminium wires in 13 stages or less. The drawn wires will be continuously spooled on bobbin using the spooling machine. The average reduction in each stage is 20.6% and at the finishing die it will be 20 to 22% max. It will be driven with the help of 30 HP slipering motor; and 3) Take-up/spooler unit with traversing: it will be driven with the help of 5 HP torque motor. It is suitable for the bobbin having 400 mm flange dia and 200 mm traverse width the traversing arrangement will be of rolling.
