Maschinen Fabrik (India), in technical collaboration with Schüttgut Förder Technik GmbH, Germany, offers a Manual Bag Dump Station. This is used to dump bags of chemicals, fine powder, additives, and spices, etc., into a conveying process. It controls dust nuisance created when bags of dusty material are manually charged into a process stream. A suction fan draws ambient air downward through the material loading grate carrying airborne dust particles into the enclosed filter chamber. Dust laden air is drawn through the filter media where dust is retained on the outer surface of the filter. To maintain continuous dust removal capability, each filter is periodically cleaned by a reverse air jet method achieved by short bursts of compressed air.
The effect is a brief controlled inflation of the filter membrane causing accumulated dust to dislodge and fall into the discharge hopper located the collector. 25-100 kg bags are loaded either manually or by inclined belt conveyor. Dust collectors of various retrofitting designs are provided to be fitted over discharge hopper, unloading vessel, storage silo, and conveyor inlets to avoid plant operators from inhaling harmful fine powders, maintaining indoor air quality and good house keeping. Pulsed air jet cleaning for cartridge type filters with field adjustable On/Off cyclic timers are provided for automatic cleaning and releasing the materials into the downstream process. Typical applications: carbon block, spice, floor, pharma powders, fine chemical, talcum powders, etc.
