Lubricants for Non-CFC Refrigerant-Based Compressors
AVI-OIL India [P] Ltd, a joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Balmer Lawrie and Co Ltd, and NYCO S.A. of France, offers Polyol Ester Lubricants – Nycolube 7000 Series for non-CFC refrigerant-based compressors. These lubricants are required for HFCs like 134a, and R 404 A, R 407c, R 410 A, R 507, R 23 and other non-CFC based refrigeration compressor systems that require esters, which had to be imported earlier, and are now available ex AVI-OIL. The Nycolube 7000 Series fulfils the requirements of these types of refrigeration lubricants. Nycolube 7050 (VG-68 grade) has been approved by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Ministry of Railways for use in underslung compressors of AC coaches. Nycolube 7050 is also used in good quantity in industrial compressors as well those which run on R 134a or R 4XX Series of refrigerants. In addition to refrigeration lubricants AVI-OIL offers synthetic ester based products for wind turbines, fire resistant hydraulic applications, air compressors and safe dielectric fluids for transformers. The company was established for indigenous production/supply of aviation and allied lubricants to the defence services, civil aviation, and the industrial sector. The products of AVI-OIL include a wide range of high performance lubricating oils, greases, and specialities, mostly synthetic, designed to meet the stringent requirements of operation over a wide temperature range and often-hostile environment.
