Most industrial accidents are caused by the unexpected energisation or start-up of machines or equipment or by the uncontrolled release of energy. Many of these accidents can be prevented by proper Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures. Safety lockout hasps are used one wishes to use multiple padlocks to isolate one energy source. A hasp is placed through the isolating point and closed, allowing each authorised person to place own padlock on it. The system is then locked out, preventing any re-energising until all padlocks are removed. Scissor action hasps are available in 25 mm/38 mm dia jaw size. In vinyl coated hasps the padlock fixing section is vinyl coated for better grip and visibility. It accepts padlocks with a shackle diameter up to 9 mm. 6 locks can be installed on each hasp. These hasps are manufactured from high tensile steel sheet which has been electro-plated to prevent rusting. Safety lockout hasps allow multiple padlocks to be used when isolating one energy source. The lockout hasp is placed through the isolating point and closed. Every person carrying out maintenance or service work attaches and locks in place their own unique individually keyed padlock through the lockout hasp. This ensures each worker’s safety as the energy cannot be restored until the work is finished and all padlocks have been removed. The company offers all kinds of lockout hasps.
