Crony Electronics has released its latest innovation, a light enhancer for sodium vapour and metal halide lights for the very first time in India, known as the Eata Illuminator. Illuminators are powerful devices for power savings in metal halides and sodium vapour lamps. These are highly applicable in endpoint fibre applications like: street lights and advertising boards or banners. Features: state-of-the-art product, produces higher intensity of light compared to conventional ballast; eliminates capacitor and ignitor, which results in the cut down of maintenance cost; saves power up to 40%, maintains steady lux level even at low voltage of 160 V, hence most ideal replacement to the conventional choke; compact size to fit in existing control gearbox; dimming effect at off-peak hours to add on saving; minimises transmission losses; increased depreciation under the Income Tax Act up to 80% of Capital Expenditure; and tested and certified by Regional Testing Centre (RTC), Mumbai. Technical specifications: input voltage – 160-280 v; input frequency – 50 Hz ±2%; rated wattage – 70, 100, 150, 250 and 400 W; operating frequency – 20 to 50 kHz; output power factor – better than 0.95; and harmonics – < than 10%. Applications: sodium vapor lamps, metal hallide lamps, and mercury vapour lamps.
