The unit has two tier construction with the upper compartment consisting heating mantle. These are made up of fiberglass yarn & fitted with a heating element. It utilizes the rotating magnetic field from a balanced permanent magnet to induce variable stirring action and uniform heating in closed or open flat bottom round flasks.
