Advent Envirocare Technology offers a integral clarifier activated sludge system, with technology from Advent Corporation, USA. This is an innovative concept in biological wastewater treatment. The secondary clarifier and aeration basin is a single unit, which provides operator controlled, centre-well induced, downward flow of return sludge directly back to the aeration tank. The configuration saves a lot on structural cost and allows to work on higher MLSS levels. The patented dispersion - transition flocculation biomass conditioning system is another innovative concept proven on field, which gives better settling and thickening of the biomass. The induced sludge velocity, conventional horizontal area and DTF system in combination, gives unmatched effluent clarity and very low BOD values in outlet. There are no moving parts - the system does not require sludge recycle pumps or thickening or scraper mechanism as in conventional plants. The clarifier is just a sloping wall with open bottom whereby active biomass flows back to the adjacent aeration basin. It can be operated both in continuous-flow mode or batch flow mode like Sequential Batch Reactor. Single or parallel flow configurations, two-stage system or two stage anoxic-aerobic system for nitrifiltration-denitrification can be made available in one tank construction.
