Raytek Marathon recently launched Infrared Pyrometers for contact-free temperature monitoring in glass processes. The contact-free technology ensures maximum reliability and speed without the risk of contaminating the product. Autonomous systems in a rugged housing are available as well as OEM solutions with record small dimensions. The Raytek Marathon series of fixed pyrometers combines intelligent digital electronics and a modern electro-optical system with robust housings and application-specific accessories. The range comprises IR thermometers for single and multi-channel operation (ratio pyrometers), thermometers for short wavelengths, and IR thermometers with fibre optics. In glass moulding and coating lines, the Raytek MP150 infrared line scanner generates thermal images, overseeing the correct heating of every single pane and the even temperature distribution. Damages are instantly displayed, and users can immediately make corrections to the process configuration if required.
