MMC Hardmetal India Pvt Ltd offers an Indexable Drill, MVX. This is a unique wavy design adopted for the insert breaker. It shows excellent chip control for all machining of steel, stainless steel and cast iron. A wiper type geometry for the peripheral cutting edge achieves excellent wall accuracy. Optimised wear balance by selecting CVD coated grade with high wear resistance for outer insert, and PVD coated grade with high stability for the inner insert. Long tool life is achieved. Long tool life is achieved by improving abrasive resistance for chips with an increased surface hardness. Optimum insert position controls deformation and vibration of the holder. This enabled a maximum drilling depth of L/D=6. The high rigidity holders are available for L/D= 2, 3, 4 and 5, and also up to a maximum of L/D=6.
