Kuebler Automation offers Sendix heavy-duty H120 Encoders with the HD-Safety-LockTM construction, specially designed for use with large motors and for the precise determination of the speed on the generator in wind turbines. The typical temporary encoder overloads, caused for example by axial overload during installation or as a result of high vibration levels, can be tolerated to a large extent. This helps prevent premature damage to the encoder, as well as avoiding failure of the encoder in the field. It is thus ideally suited for heavy industrial usage, such as in steel works or in cranes. Resistant materials, including seawater resistant housing, wide temperature ranges from -40°C to +100°C and a high protection level (IP 66 + IP 67) as well as a high shock (2000 m/s², 6 ms) and vibration resistance (150 m/s², 10 ...2000 Hz) ensure they remain unaffected by the harshest environmental conditions. The innovative connection technology enables simple quick installation. Heavy-duty hollow shaft design of the latest generation is extremely robust and has integrated shaft isolation. Features: Extremely robust flange mounting due to screw-on housing; extremely robust bearing construction due to – mechanically interlocked bearings, use of very large highly robust bearings, large bearing span; maximum level of protection against dust and humidity due to – shielding cover disk on the shaft and high quality radial shaft seal; bearing design incorporates integrated isolation (isolating inserts not required), tested up to 2.5 kV for high running accuracy; and metal to metal connection for slip free mounting. The encoders of the Sendix H120 family are available in a wide variety of versions for every installation situation, including: tapered hollow shaft 1:10 with central fixing – for highly accurate direct connection to the application shaft; cylindrical blind hollow shaft Ø 12 mm or 16 mm with central fixing – the standard mounting solution for generators; and through hollow shaft from Ø 16 mm to 28 mm (unique on the market) – the flexible mounting solution for all cases.
