Honing sticks, manufactured by Diamond Abrasive Products, are made from imported microcrystalline abrasive grains in aluminium oxide and silicon carbide. Due to the microcrystalline structure of the abrasive particles, the sticks do not get glazed or loaded and have a very free cutting action. The company has developed special cork bonded honing stick suitable for plateau honing operation required for cylinder liners/blocks. The company has also indigenously developed LAVA powder for joining honing stick instantly.
