Veer Electronics offers a Holiday Detector, Model VHD-30D. It is used to test various insulation coatings like coal tar, paint, etc., on metal object by generating high voltage DC. When this voltage is applied to the coated area, on detection of pinhole or defective point of coating, high voltage spark occurs on testing object and same time electronic buzzer beeps and red fault LED gives visual fault indication. Portable in size, insulated cabinet and in-built jeep meter; digital and analog display to show actual voltage; 12 V/7AH battery and automatic battery charger circuit; calibrated and tested as per IS:1876; and 5 kV/10 kV/20 kV/30 kV models with universal design. Applications: pipe line coating contractor, pipe manufacturer to test coating; fire safety system pipe line (paint coating); inspection of metal vessels, onshore and offshore metal coating.
