Hard Jaws


Hard Jaws share certain characteristics of soft jaws. They are made of case hardened steel - EN353 and hardened upto 50-55HRC.

They are usually used for first operation roughing, where gripping is a more important criteria than concentricity. The ground gripping surface of the jaw provides a secure true grip.

The company manufacture hard jaws with 1 or with 2 steps and the types can be as follows:

  • 1.5mm x 60° serrations
  • 1/16” x 90 serrations
  • Also have facilities to manufacture any serration be it 1.5mm x 60, 2mm x 60, 2.5mm x 60, 3mm x 60, 3/32” x 90, etc
  • Tongue and Groove type hard jaws also known as Tenon type hard jaws
  • Teeth type hard jaws - For scroll operated chucks
