Grinding & Milling Media, ZIRCONIA

Grinding & Milling Media, ZIRCONIA

Zirconia, a Ceria alloy, is used as material base of the media for grinding/milling, designated as ZITOP-Ce Super TZP. This formulation is non-porous, non-conductor and non-magnetic. It is chemically inert, chip- resistant and extremely hard. It attains high polish during use due to its fine microstructure. It is engineered for contamination free grinding and milling of zirconia, zircon, dielectric and electronic ceramics, specialty materials, advanced ceramics and glasses, foodstuff, pharmaceuticals, etc, in planetary, vibratory, ball, jar and attritor mills. It is highly abrasion resistant and delivers faster grinding and milling with negligible contamination and media weight loss. Currently available, in two sizes, namely 12.7 mm dia x 12.7 mm and 9.5 mm dia x 9.5 mm radius end cylindrical geometries. Its colour is dark grey, with sintered density of 6.15 g/cc. The figures of hardness HV1.0, flexure strength and fracture toughness are: 1080 kg/mm2, 400 MPa and 17.5 MN.m-1-5 respectively.
