Encon Thermal Engineers has developed Gas Heating Elements, which can be retrofitted in many applications, which use Electrical Heaters up to a temperature of 550°C. The savings vary from 30% to 70%, depending on the application. This technological innovation has won the CII -SIDBI 'Excellence in Technology' award in the past, besides other from accolades. The company designs and manufactures ovens for various industrial applications for temperatures up to 550°C, energised by the gas heating elements. It has designed, engineered, manufactured and erected the country’s tallest ovens energised by gas heating elements, the ovens– 9 metres tall– installed at AREVA, Bangalore. The company has also designed, engineered, manufactured and erected the country’s longest hybrid oven powered by solar energy and gas heating elements, a 160 ft long oven installed at Divya Yog Pharmacy, Haridwar. These elements are also used in ageing furnaces, annealing furnaces, core drying ovens for transformers, degreasing tanks, herbal drying, insulation drying, liquid heating, paint baking ovens, phosphating tanks, powder coating ovens, resin curing, space heating, washing machine tanks, water heating, etc.
