Artech offers Foundry Pyrometers, FP-100. It is a convenient handheld instrument ideal for measuring the temperature of ferrous and non-ferrous molten metals from +700°C to +1750°C. It is designed with a comfortable hand grip and a lance extension for holding expendable thermocouple tips or re-useable multiple tips. It works on dry cells and replaces conventional measuring systems. Open sensor flashing, low battery indication and cold junction compensation are standard features incorporated. It is incorporated with an auto peak latching memory circuit that eliminates the possibility of errors due to handling while the measurement is in progress. It is programmed so that the measurement starts after the probe pierces the surface slag; when the reading is complete the temperature is latched on the display and an audible alarm is emitted signalling the end of measurement. By using various sensors surface, interior and zonal temperatures can be measured. The bright LED display is visible in even the darkest of industrial surroundings.
