GEE Limited set up its first welding electrode manufacturing plant in India with through a technical collaboration with a German company in the year 1969. Today, the company’s unmatched expertise in welding technology and metallurgy, driven by in-house RandD and global networking and documentation systems can solve welding problems however intricate they may be. It has now set up two green field plants doubling the production capacity to 13,200 tonnes. These plants, ISO 9001:2000 accredited by Det Norske Veritas, are fully integrated and are equipped with modern machinery and systems for production, packing and dispatch. The company offers Flux-Cored Wires, GFC Series. Features: tubular rutile flux-cored wire for single or multi-pass welding of carbon-manganese steel and similar types of steel; for shielding, welding grade of CO2, gas is recommended; the deposited weld meets x-ray/radiographic quality standards; the wire can be used in all positions, recommended for welding of mild steel grade IS: 2062 or equivalent, shipbuilding, pipe welding, general fabrication, etc; the wire is supplied in various diameters such as 1.20 mm and 1.60 mm; and the wire is wound in plastic spools of good quality in layer-to-layer winding, the spool is packed in specially designed aluminium coated pouches that are vacuum packed to ensure longer shelf life of the wire.
