SRD Corporation offers Turbine Flow transmitters from Swiss precision Digmesa AG. It can measure to accuracy of 1%. These work on Hall effect transistor principle with ceramic magnets laser welded on rotor/ turbine wheel. The Hall effect transistor is developed specially for this application for reliability and service longevity. The turbine wheel is of PVDF and bearing pin is of 18/ 8 steel or PCTFE to suit corrosive acids too. For measurement of highly viscous fluids up to 8000 CS, there is a special EPI flowmeter. Special food flowmeters with ruby bearings are also available. These are simple in construction, easy to mount. Other specifications: repeatability - 0.25%; work on 4.5 to 24 V DC; and pulse output. These flowmeters are widely for monitoring diesel consumption in gensets and can be used for furnace oil too. Four models are available in brass and Ryton.
