Thermal Equipments manufactures a range of Aluminium/Copper Extruded Finned Tubes according to customers’ specifications in terms of working temperature, ambient temperatures, corrosive atmospheres, etc. Extruded finned tubes are manufactured by cold extrusion process. The fin is formed from outer aluminium tubes. This is aligned over inner base of tubes. A carefully degreased core tube is fitted into an aluminium sleeve. This assembly is then fed into the triple-spindle fining head of the fin-extruding machine. Three special multidisc packs extrude the aluminium tube into helical high fins, reducing the inner diameter of the sleeve to give firm pressure contact with the base tube. Main advantages: excellent fin to tube contacts ensure finest heat transfer; corrosion protection of base tube from atmosphere; very robust and resistant to mechanical damages; and suitable for use up to 300°C temperature. Base tube material: carbon steel/stainless steel/galvanised. Fin material: aluminium/copper. These fin tubes are widely used in all types of fin tube heat exchangers, all types of dryers and various industries like petrochemical/chemical/food and agriculture industries. Sizes and specifications: base tube OD is from 15 to 45 mm, fin OD is from 30 to 70 mm and fin pitch from 7 to 11. The selection depends upon process requirements.
