External Rotor Motors
VBM Enterprises manufactures a range of motors and blowers for industrial applications. Like any other conventional motor, the external rotor motor has a wound stator and an aluminium die cast rotor. The only difference is that in this case the rotor moves externally around the stator. Salient features: CE mark and manufactured to EN 60335-1; compact in size; continuous rating with high efficiency; variable speed by changing input voltage or frequency; dynamically balanced in 2 planes as per grade 2.5 of ISO 1940-1973 in accordance to VDI 2060; winding surge and HV tested; double shielded pre lubricated ball bearings; and low noise. These motors range in sizes from: rotor diameters – OD 92 and 110 mm; shaft extensions – to suit customer requirements; voltage – 110, 220, 440 V AC, 50/ 60 Hz single and 3-phase; speed – 1400 and 2800 RPM; power output – 92 mm, 20 to 150 W, and 110 mm, 150 to 300 W. Typical applications: water pump drive in room coolers and humidifiers; laboratory stirrers; air curtains and cross flow fans; evaporator units in split ACs; and others.
