ER Collets
‘RM’ of Mumbai offers ER type of collets from their very large variety of collets. ER type milling collets are ideal for a variety of machining applications including boring, milling, reaming, tapping and grinding with a short design profile and greater elasticity. ER collets have tighter grip and wider clamping range. Its run out is controlled as per DIN-6499. The collet is so designed that one single collet accurately holds different dia tools in variation of 1 mm, i.e., 4 mm collet holds all dia from 3 to 4 mm and so on. Its clamping length of tool is also longer than other collets. The collets are available in different types such as ER-8, ER-11, ER-16, ER-20, ER-25, ER-32, ER-40 and ER-50, which indicates maximum gauge plane diameter of that particular type of collet. Collets are made from suitable best material, properly heat treated and ground to highest accuracy as per DIN-6499.
