Fuel flow meters are designed for measuring engine fuel consumption of vehicles (like trucks, tractive vehicles, tractors of different types, loaders, graders and road-building machinery) and fixed installations (with diesel engines). Doppler Flow Meters (DFMs) can be used in vehicle tracking systems and AVL fuel monitoring systems. The meter, which is set up in the fuel line, has three-dimension ring type measuring chamber and generates impulse when fuel passes through it. As the number of impulses for one litre is preset, the generated impulses help calculate the volume of fuel consumed. DFM uses special contactless keys to switch indications. Since the device has no buttons on itself, unauthorized tampering is avoided.
