Premier Industries have recently developed electronic timers for process systems and welding equipment such as spot welders, butt welders and other applications. These timers are available from 0.2 nano seconds to 10/20/30 seconds, 1/2 minute or any other desired timing, and are suitable for single phase, two phase and three phase operations. The circuit used is solicited timing circuit and output is given by thyristors. The thyristors used are suitable for 10/20/30/60/80 and 200 amps. These timers are most ideal for any continuous process and welding equipments. They eliminate the requirement of using contactors. The circuit used is a highly precise timing circuit for both switching ON and switching OFF. The timers are durable and have a longer life than any other contactors. They find regular use in input/ output switching circuits of butt welders, spot welders, etc.
