IEEC - PBJ Industrial Electronics offers Electromagnetic Powder Brakes. These are used to provide transmission powder whose magnetic viscosity is controlled by an electromagnetic field. These couplings sustain and continue controlled slip. The available powder brakes ranges from 1.2 kg/m to 50 kg/m. They are most suitable for unwind brake and rewinder or intermediate tension control between the two drives nibs.
