Kimplas Piping Systems offer Electro Fusion Couplers & Reducers, SDR11. These offer optimum performance and are highly reliable. These come with the following features: optimal fusion zone, fusion indicators, heating coil not in contact with medium; fitting identification; optimal cold zone; centre stop; and clearance fit. Procedure for use: cut pipe end at right angles; clean, scrape and degrease the pipe fusion zone; mark insertion depth on the pipe; remove the coupler from its packaging; if the fusion zones have been touched by hand, they have to be degreased again; slide the coupler over the pipe up to the marking or centre stop and hold in a clamping device; push second prepared pipe into the fitting up to the centre stop and fasten firmly in clamping device; remove the caps on the connector pins; connect control unit cables; enter fusion data or read in with barcode; start the fusion process; upon completion of the fusion cycle, check the fusion indicators; and minimum cooling time.
