The electro discharge machines from Dynamation have a heavily ribbed body. The base, colunm, tables, electrode head are precision machined from artificially aged, close grained cast iron. The table slides on hardened and ground guideways with imported needle roller bearings. The hardened and ground screw rod driven by a stepper motor ensures precise movement of the quill. A multiple output flushing system provides pressure flushing, impulse flushing and suction flushing. The electrode head is motorised for fast movements. The generator uses MOSFETs for high speed switching and better surface finish concurrent with higher cutting speeds and lower electrode wear. Carbide machining is also possible. A built-in anti-arc auto lift with impulse flushing is provided. A fast acting, accurate servo system with electrode polarity reversing facility is also provided. A quartz based oscillator with EPROM logic control provides a predictable and reliable performance.
