Many plants work with materials whose air/gas mixtures are liable to explode with proximity to equipment prone to sparking. Such explosions endanger the live and health of persons and cause material damage. To minimise the occurrance of catastrophe we recommend the use of our SWIFT make Flame Proof Electrical Wire Rope Hoist for material handling in such areas.
The essential principle of Flame-Proof enclosure is that hazardous atmosphere is not excluded from the electrical apparatus and enclosure is sufficiently strong to withstand and internal explosion and at the same time capable of cooling the flame passing from inside to outside to such an extent that ignition outside the enclosure is not possible.
All the above mentioned flame-proof components have been tested at Central Mining and Research station (CMRS), Dhanbad. These are approved for Group I, IIA and IIB gases as per IS-2148. All other features like gearbox, rope drum, guide ring, wire rope and hook are similar to our standard electric wire rope hoist.
