Eight-Port Adaptor

The COMM+8 is an eight-port serial I/O adaptor for PCs and compatibles. The eight RS-232 DOS-, Windows 3.1X/95NT-, QNX-, Linux-, and OS/2-compatible units can be set to a separate IRQ, or multiple ports can share a single IRQ using the card"s onboard interrupt status port. The status port flags the port generating the interrupt for efficient servicing while eliminating to need to poll each port separately. Applications include communications servers and other peripheral control.
