Mahavir Mirror Industries offers machines and plants for production of insulating glass, manufactured by Simec, Italy. Vertical edge grinding machine serves to remove the low emissivity layer from the edges of the glass (treatment of the surface of the glass to improve its thermal and luminous characteristics). The structure of the machine is constructed with steel and is treated with bicomponent epoxy paint. The machine consists of three sections: i) The edge grinder inlet conveyor is provided with an air cushion for conveyance of the glass with motor driven horizontal motion by a high resistance toothed belt coated in polyurethane; ii) The central edge grinding unit, with a single head that can rotate upto 90? to grind the 4 sides with a diamond abrasive system. The abrasive head, that does not generate dust while operating, runs vertically on aluminium guides. All movements are controlled by PLC; and, iii) The edge grinder outlet conveyor is provided with an air cushion for conveyance of the glass with motor driven horizontal motion by a high resistance toothed belt coated in polyurethane.
